Forum Thread: Why Does the Kingo App Not Work on the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Using KitKat 4.4.4?

Verizon is just one of those carriers that make is very difficult to root your device. Trust me, lots of people are in the same boat as you.

Every time someone comes out with a way to root a phone, the carrier patches the exploit that method uses, so someone else has to figure out (among 10s of thousands of lines of code) some little typo or forgotten little thing that will allow a program to temporarily gain root status. Then the manufacturer finds out and patches that exploit.

So far, you can root 4.4.4 by running SafeStrap (which means that a rooted 4.4.2 is already in the phone), installing 4.4.2 in slot 1 (back up the stock slot and restore it to slot 1),, 4.4.4 in the stock slot, then either flashing the 4.4.2 bootloader to get to SafeStrap (and 4.4.2) or the 4.4.4 bootloader to get to 4.4.4. You can use Odin to flash the bootloaders, or there's an apps and a zip file available on XDA to make it easier.

kingo doesnt work on sprint n900p 4.4.4 either

and if you dont allow Su to disable knox it wont trip the warranty counter ;)
