My battery died while I was out. I recharged it but my phone will not turn on. I can see a charging animation that says my battery is charged, but it won't turn on. Any help?

This recently happened to a friend of mine. She took it in and all they did was hold the volume up and down buttons at the same time and the power button. Try that and let me know if it works.
Try letting it plugged in to an outlet for a while and then try turning it on again. Seems you let your battery completely run out of power.
