I just rooted my phone but I can't figure out how to set up free tethering. It was really the only reason I rooted since I have unlimited data. Is there an easy way to do it?

I just switched from CM10 to a Touchwiz based rom (FreeGS3) but my battery life is terrible. My Android System usage is always around 70-80%, so I'm pretty sure that's the culprit.

I've read through rooting instructions, and I need to flash a .tar file, but the flashing software Odin is only for PC. Is there another root method I can use?

My wifi signal seems to be much weaker on my S3 than it was on my last phone. Is there anything I can do to increase that?

Anyone out there got one? I need one that can operate in the United States and overseas across multiple frequencies.

When not being paranoid about my personal information being compromised, to some degree, by pretty much every application on my phone, I return to practical matters I can actually control.

As much as I love my Samsung Galaxy S3, I'm always on the lookout for cool features I can borrow from other smartphones. One of the most recent "borrowed" features I've added to my S3 is the Galaxy Note 2's smart rotation feature, which uses the front camera to detect my face-to-screen angle, which then rotates my screen accordingly.

Anything about battery life and tips - both of a technical and common sense nature - goes here. Candidly, battery life is one of the Achilles' Heel issues on all smartphone and not just the S3. Chances are if you aren't physically mobile you have your phone plugged in and being re-charged a sizable percentage of the time.

I have been trolling WonderHowTo for the past 3 years (actually since I began to root Android and jailbreak iOS smartphones, that is, if you actually consider Apple products to be "smart."). Anyway, I started this forum because I actually bricked a few phones - which, as you can imagine, really screwed up my day - and wanted a place in which we could share lessons learned (or whatever).
