Samsung Galaxy A27 Box Images Show Colors, Price, and Warranty
Retail packaging for the Samsung Galaxy A27 has surfaced through a Kenyan e-commerce retailer's Instagram post, showing the phone in three color finishes alongside a regional price and a printed 24-month warranty. The images are the most recent entry in a leak sequence that now spans official renders, marketing materials, and an accidental Samsung product page publication and together they describe a phone that's being meaningfully repositioned, not just refreshed.
Photos shared by Phoneporium show the Galaxy A27 box in black, blue, and light green, with the 6GB/128GB variant listed at KES 38,000, roughly $293, according to Android Authority. A 24-month warranty is printed prominently on the packaging itself, displayed as a feature rather than fine print.
That follows two earlier leaks from this month. Samsung's Czech Republic website published the Galaxy A27's full product page ahead of schedule before pulling it down, as SamMobile reported nine days ago, exposing design details, specifications, and European pricing. Separately, DigitalCitizen obtained renders and marketing materials that confirmed the phone's punch-hole design and AI feature branding, per Android Police six days ago.
The packaging leak, taken alongside those earlier disclosures, suggests Samsung's launch preparations are well underway though no official announcement or release date has been confirmed.
Samsung Galaxy A27 colors and price leak: what the box reveals
The Phoneporium packaging shows three color options: black, blue, and light green. That's one fewer than the four listed on Samsung's accidentally published Czech product page, which also included pink, per SamMobile. The renders obtained by DigitalCitizen showed a different set pink, navy blue, and black, according to Android Police. Whether pink is absent from this specific regional rollout or simply missing from early stock isn't clear from the available sources.
The 24-month warranty on the box is worth noting on its own terms. Samsung is treating it as a visible specification rather than burying it in the paperwork, Android Authority notes. At a price point where buyers are weighing long-term ownership costs, that framing is deliberate.
On the Kenyan price: KES 38,000 for the 6GB/128GB model is a regional data point, not a direct proxy for other markets. Local taxes, import costs, and distribution structures make apples-to-apples comparisons with European pricing unreliable. It's better read as a signal that Samsung is staging regional rollouts than as a guide to what the phone will cost elsewhere.
The box also shows a vertical triple-camera arrangement on the rear with an LED flash, and a power button on the right spine that doubles as a fingerprint scanner, per Android Authority. Neither is a surprise given earlier leaks, but the packaging confirms both are present in retail units.
What leaked pricing reveals about the A27's value proposition
The price increase is the most discussed aspect of this leak cycle, and it's not hard to see why. European retail sources put the 128GB model at €349 and the 256GB version at €439. The Galaxy A26 launched at €299 and €369 respectively, a difference of €50 at the base tier and €70 at the top, per GSMArena. Those are still leaked figures, not confirmed retail prices, but they've appeared consistently across multiple sources over the past two weeks.
The chipset upgrade is the clearest justification Samsung can point to. The A27 reportedly moves from the Exynos 1280 or 1380, depending on market, to a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 an octa-core processor built on a 4nm node with AI workload support, per SamMobile. Not a flagship chip, but a genuine step up in both efficiency and processing headroom.
The display gets a visual overhaul too. The A26's teardrop Infinity-U notch gives way to a punch-hole Infinity-O cutout, bringing the A27's look in line with Samsung's current mid-range lineup, as SamMobile reported. Software support rounds out the upgrade argument: the leaked product page listed Android 16 with One UI 8.5 out of the box, six generations of Android OS updates, and six years of security patches, per Digit.in. Few competitors at this price tier commit to that kind of update window.
The durability regression is harder to square with the price direction. Based on the leaked product page, the A27 carries an IP64 rating, covering dust resistance and protection against water splashes. Its predecessor was rated IP67, meaning it could survive submersion in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes, per Digit.in. For a phone positioned below the flagship tier, that's a real-world step down. This is the segment where phones get dropped in sinks, caught in rain, and handed to teenagers.
Camera specs also slip in places. The ultrawide drops from 8MP on the A26 to 5MP, and the selfie camera from 13MP to 12MP, Digit.in noted. The single-megapixel selfie difference is marginal in practice. The ultrawide reduction is more consequential it shows up in wide-angle shots where resolving detail matters.
The 5,000mAh battery and 25W wired charging are carried over from the A26 unchanged, per Android Police. Worth flagging alongside the price increase.
Specs that look settled, and three things still to confirm
Multiple independent sources converge on the same core specifications. The leaked product page and marketing materials describe a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display at 120Hz, a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro, a 12MP selfie camera with 4K/30fps support, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and a hybrid microSD slot, per SamMobile and GSMArena. Connectivity covers 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and USB-C. The phone measures 164mm x 77.5mm and is 7.7mm thick, per SamMobile.
Three items remain open and could shift the value calculation.
Samsung DeX support appeared on the accidentally published Czech product page, SamMobile noted. If it makes it to retail units, that would be an unusual inclusion at this tier DeX lets the phone drive a desktop-style interface when connected to a monitor, a feature Samsung has largely reserved for its more expensive hardware. Whether it survived the final cut isn't confirmed.
The marketing materials reference Circle to Search and chip-level AI capabilities, suggesting some form of Galaxy AI features, though the exact scope hasn't been defined, according to Android Police. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3's NPU supports AI workloads, so the hardware foundation is there. What Samsung actually enables on a budget device is a separate question.
Official pricing across all markets remains unannounced. The European figures have appeared consistently, but they're still leaks. Final numbers could shift before Samsung makes anything official.
No launch date has been set. Samsung's next Unpacked event is next month, though it's unclear whether the A27 would be part of that announcement, per Android Police. The A26 launched in March last year. The A27 has been circulating across leak channels for weeks, physical retail stock is apparently already in Kenya, and the open questions now are market-by-market pricing, whether DeX and the full Galaxy AI suite make it to shipping units, and when Samsung decides to make any of this official.
