A separate filing reportedly suggests battery capacities of 5,200mAh for the Pro and 5,700mAh for the Ultra, per Android Authority. If that Ultra number holds once Samsung confirms it, it would break a ceiling the Ultra line has sat under for years.
What the certification listings show for Galaxy S27 Ultra 60W wired charging
China's 3C database lists SM-S958 and SM-S957 with a maximum input of 20V/3A, which works out to 60W, according to Android Authority. SammyGuru reported on what it identifies as the same two devices, listed under SM-S9570 and SM-S9580, and landed on the same 60W ceiling last week.
Archyde reported two weeks ago that the filings list a full set of supported input steps, including 5V/2A, 9V/1.67A, 9V/2.77A, 10V/4.5A, 15V/3A, and 20V/3A, all pointing to that same 60W maximum.
None of this is a speed bump. Samsung introduced 60W wired charging with the Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year, and it's currently the only Samsung phone that supports it, per SammyGuru. The reported S27 Ultra would just carry that ceiling forward instead of jumping to something faster.
A 60W input rating on a certification filing confirms supported wattage on paper. It says nothing about actual charging time, sustained speed under load, or how the phone handles heat during a fast charge, and those numbers only surface through independent testing once retail units ship. No outlet cited here has run that test.
Galaxy S27 Pro 60W charging: a new tier above the Plus
The more interesting shift, if the reporting holds, is what it does to the Pro. SammyGuru describes the S27 Pro as a new addition to the 2027 lineup, one that gets the same 60W wired charging as the Ultra rather than settling for something slower.
That creates real separation from the rest of the lineup. Earlier 3C filings, which surfaced a few weeks before the Pro and Ultra listings, reportedly showed the standard Galaxy S27 capped at 25W and the Galaxy S27 Plus limited to 45W, per Android Authority.
Battery capacities follow the same split. SammyGuru points to a 4,300mAh battery for the base model and 4,900mAh for the Plus, both well below what's reportedly coming to the Pro and Ultra.
If those figures hold up, "Pro" isn't shaping up to be a naming tweak wedged between the Plus and Ultra. It looks more like Samsung drawing a new line for which phones get top-tier charging and battery capacity, though that's a read on reported specs, not anything Samsung has confirmed.

Based on that gap, Android Authority estimates Samsung would likely market the Ultra's cell as 5,700mAh typical and the Pro's as 5,200mAh typical, though Samsung hasn't confirmed either figure.
If 5,700mAh sticks, it marks roughly a 15% jump over the Galaxy S26 Ultra's 5,000mAh battery, a boost SamMobile characterized as the first capacity increase for the Ultra tier since it launched in 2020. Android Authority's own reporting traces the 5,000mAh baseline slightly differently, back to the 2021 Galaxy S21 Ultra, so the exact starting point for "first increase in the Ultra's history" depends on which outlet's timeline is being used, even though both agree the number hasn't budged since.
SamMobile also floated an explanation for where the extra capacity might come from: silicon-carbon anode technology, the same chemistry reportedly expected in the Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8 line, per SamMobile. No certification filing in any of this reporting confirms battery chemistry directly, so that explanation is worth flagging as informed speculation from SamMobile, not a spec sitting inside the 3C paperwork.
What the certification data doesn't confirm
A few details floating around this leak deserve more skepticism than the charging and battery numbers above. Archyde reported that its reading of the 3C listings suggests neither model ships with a charger in the box. That's a direct claim from Archyde's own review of the filing, but Android Authority and SammyGuru's coverage of the same certification data doesn't corroborate it, so treat it as single-source until another outlet checks the filing independently.
None of the cited reports specify a charging curve, a time-to-80% figure, or whether hitting the full 60W rate requires a Samsung-branded adapter with a specific USB-PD or PPS profile. Certification filings establish a maximum wattage the hardware supports under test conditions. They say nothing about how a phone charges in someone's kitchen with a random USB-C brick.
Worth remembering, too: a lot of this reporting traces back to the same handful of 3C filings. Android Authority, SammyGuru, and Archyde are largely describing overlapping regulatory paperwork rather than delivering three independent confirmations, so multiple outlets covering the same leak isn't equivalent to verification.
