Samsung's journey with One UI 8 has been a rollercoaster, and we can finally see the end of the ride. After a temporary pause (beginning 2025-10-21), Samsung resumed the One UI 8 rollout (resumption began in South Korea on 2025-10-24) for the Galaxy S23 and S24 series, now with beefed-up security, including the October 2025 security patch (addresses ~34 fixes, including Samsung-specific and Android fixes) that makes the wait feel worth it.

The final package blends the resumed rollout with stronger protections. Samsung has also improved the built-in security of devices with enhanced privacy tools, keeping pace with evolving threats while still shipping new features. Innovation with guardrails, not one or the other.

Looking ahead, this should reinforce Samsung’s investment in a methodical release cadence. One UI 8 shows the company has the infrastructure, the people, and the discipline to deliver reliable updates at global scale, a combo that only gets more valuable as phones become even more central to daily life.

Apple's iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 updates are packed with new features, and you can try them before almost everyone else. First, check our list of supported iPhone and iPad models, then follow our step-by-step guide to install the iOS/iPadOS 26 beta — no paid developer account required.
